مستوى تمکّن الطلاب المستجدين بجامعة الملک سعود من المعرفة في الرياضيات الجامعية الأساسية ومستوياتها

هدف البحث الحالي إلى تحديد مستوى تمکن الطلاب المستجدين بجامعة الملک سعود من المعرفة في الرياضيات الجامعية الأساسية في مجالات ستة هي: مبادئ الجبر، والمعادلات والمتباينات، والدوال العامة، والدوال الأسية واللوغارتمية، والدوال المثلثية، والمعادلات الخطية والمصفوفات. وهدف أيضا إلى تحديد مستوى التمکن في مستويات المعرفة الرياضية الثلاثة: (مفاهيمية وإجرائية وحل المسألة)، ودراسة الفروق بين طلاب المسار الصحي وطلاب المسار العلمي والهندسي في مستوى تمکنهم من المعرفة في الرياضيات الجامعية الأساسية ومستوياتها.
وطبقت أداة البحث الاختبار التشخيصي – بعد إجراء صدقها وثباتها- على عينة من الطلاب المستجدين في الجامعة بلغت(900)طالب. وکان تطبيق الأداة في الأسابيع الأولى من الدراسة. وتوصل البحث إلى عدد من النتائج من أهمها: وجود ضعف في جميع المجالات المعرفية عدا مجال المعادلات والمتباينات ومجال الدوال العامة فکانتا دون المتوسط. وکان أداء الطلاب في مستويي المعرفة الإجرائية وحل المسألة ضعيفا، وفي مستوى المعرفة المفاهيمية فوق المتوسط. وکان مستوى أداء الطلاب المستجدين في المسار الصحي أفضل من أداء الطلاب المستجدين في المسار العلمي والهندسي ؛ وذلک في  کل مجالات المعرفة الرياضية بعامة ومستوياتها.
وأوصى البحث بعدد من التوصيات من أهمها: ضرورة الاهتمام بعلاج جوانب القصور التي دلّ عليها البحث في مجالات المعرفة في الرياضيات الجامعية الأساسية.
Level enables new students at King Saud University in the basic knowledge of
mathematics and their levels
The goal of current research to determine the level enables new students at King Saud University of knowledge in basic undergraduate Mathematics in six areas are: the principles of algebra , and equations and inequalities , public functions, exponential and logarithmic , trigonometric functions & equations and linear arrays . And being able to determine the level of mathematical knowledge in three levels: ( conceptual , procedural & problem Solving) . And study  the differences between the health Path students and students of science and engineering enables them to  enables  the level of knowledge in basic math and their  levels.
Applied research tool diagnostic test  on a sample of the new students at the University of (900) students with Consideration a validity and reliability. The application of the tool in the first weeks of the study. The research found a number of findings, including: a weakness in all fields of knowledge except the field equations and inequalities , public functions was below average. The performance of students in the levels of procedural knowledge of problem solving was weak, and conceptual knowledge level above average. The level of new students in the performance of the new students in the scientific and engineering path less then the performance of the health path in the knowledge math general and their  levels. Find recommended a number of recommendations including: the need for attention to treat deficiencies indicated by research in the domain of knowledge in core academic mathematics.
